OUR STORY
The Kindred Co. started with a simple “why not?” moment.
Maddy and I met while working our corporate jobs and quickly became best friends, bonding over our love for God, vintage treasures, and antique shopping. One day, while sitting on the beach during our lunch break, we had the idea to turn something we loved into something more.
We started with a small vendor booth in a local antique shop, filling it with carefully curated finds. What began as a fun side hobby quickly grew into something bigger when an unexpected opportunity led us to a storefront in downtown Conway. After a lot of prayer, we felt God calling us to take a leap of faith. We resigned from our jobs, stepped into the unknown, and opened The Kindred Co.
The journey has been full of long days, late nights, learning curves, and countless blessings. Through every step, God has been faithful, and our family, friends, and community have supported us in ways we'll never forget.
Today, we're grateful to spend our days doing what we love, creating a welcoming space, connecting with others, and sharing beautiful pieces that bring joy. We're still learning and growing, but we're trusting God every step of the way and are excited to see what He has planned next.
Thank you for being part of our story.
WHY SECOND-HAND?
We’ve always loved vintage and second-hand pieces because they offer something you simply can’t find in most modern items: character, craftsmanship, and a story.
Every piece has a history, and we think that makes it even more special. We also believe second-hand doesn’t mean outdated. When thoughtfully styled, vintage finds can feel fresh, timeless, and uniquely your own.
Choosing vintage adds personality to your home and creates a space that feels collected rather than copied. No two pieces are exactly alike, and that individuality is what we love most.
For us, that’s the beauty of vintage, giving well-loved pieces a new home and a new chapter.
Purpose Beyond
the Pieces
The Kindred Co. has always been about more than vintage finds. From the beginning, our goal has been to create a space centered on people, purpose, and giving back.
One way we do that is through our annual Thrift For A Cause event during the Christmas season. After much prayer, we felt called to use our love of thrifting and vintage hunting to help families and individuals in our local Grand Strand community.
Through this initiative, we curate thrifted items and gifts to help make Christmas a little brighter for those in need. While we keep the details private, it has become one of the most meaningful parts of what we do.
We know we can’t help everyone, but we can help someone. Thank you to everyone who supports The Kindred Co., your encouragement and support help make this possible.
